R6 Head
R6-CB

October being my birthday month these days means I either get a lot of money to spend on my droids or I completely forget about my birthday and spend lots of money on droids using my birthday as an excuse. This year was no different! I started to print some of the parts for the R6 Dome I got from Darren P at R2UK this year which is coming along great! I've decided to do this dome for my other half so it will be very custom and look totally out of place to R2's body but oh well!

Single Print Cylinder
Single Print Cylinder

Completely forgot that I had begun a bit of CAD work merging some STLs from Michael Baddeley together into a single print. I did the Cylinder because after doing the two separate prints it was very awkward for me to glue them together then sand and fill them with it being such small gaps. Doing it this way was a bit risky as there is lots of support underneath and my printer kept ripping the supports up at one point but it made it through this time!

The original one I edited together for some reason didn't increase the mesh density to all the detail was lost but this one seems to have come out really nice!

Omni Wheel Frame
Omni Wheel Frame

If you recall, I had already tried to print the omni wheel frames and for the first time, I had a layer shift which I had never had before and never had since. So far I have got the front row of the Center Foot Omni Wheels printed, just got to by the part that acts as the axle for the wheels and then get some better screws and then start printing the back row and fingers crossed something that SHOULD move MIGHT actually move!

Droid Builders Table
Droid Group Database

Between this month and next month I will be working on a new section of the T3 Builders Club website. I had the idea from the get go of creating a simple list that houses every Star Wars Droid Building Club on the planet. Something that's easy to navigate and to find information about clubs local to you and just what clubs are out there. Hopefully this will be of some use to people!

T3's Head
T3's Head

I completed 95% of T3's head! After making him a memorial dog for my beloved family dog, Nero, I tried to give him a similar color scheme. It isn't perfect at all but it's pretty close and I'm happy!
